Job Details

Tussell is an online data service that enables businesses and intermediaries to discover trends and commercial opportunities in UK public procurement - a marketplace worth £223 billion in 2017. That's equivalent to about 10% of UK GDP.

Tussell was founded in March 2015 to fill the gap for comprehensive analysis of the wider public sector supply chain. We aggregate officially published procurement notices from disparate sources into a powerful contract database. Use cases include tender alerting, market analysis, buyer or supplier intelligence and B2B prospecting.

By turning open data into useful data, we help to make the UK government even more transparent and efficient. And we promote competition by empowering small firms with market intelligence that was previously only accessible to big companies.

Role Summary

The role is to analyse Tussell’s proprietary data in order to create insightful custom reporting for content marketing, social media and press attribution purposes. If you combine proven analytical skills, interest in public affairs and good communication then this is the job for you. It’s your opportunity to join an agile digital start-up where your role can evolve in line with the company’s expansion.

Responsibilities

Tussell is the market’s most widely cited source of data on public procurement in the UK. Our data has been cited in the national and trade press more than 80 times so far in 2018, including the Economist, FT, Times, Telegraph, BBC and Bloomberg. This is on account of 1) public interest in the topic of government spending and 2) the quality and frequency of the content marketing that we produce. Your role will be to contribute to the production of that content marketing and custom reporting.

Reporting to Tussell’s Head of Research & Partnerships, you will turn data into information and information into insight. You will be able to synthesise large amounts of data into powerful charts, clear bullet points and insightful blogs and client presentations. Ideally you will have ideas and flair for using our own content for community-building on social media.

For more details and information on how to apply, please see the job decription on our website.

Closing Date: 31 May 2018
