Relate is recruiting a Policy and Research Manager to lead on the organisation's policy development, research projects and public affairs activity.

Your opportunity

We are the leading relationship support and counselling charity, and our vision is of a future where healthy relationships are actively promoted as the heart of a thriving society. In this role, you will be at the forefront of helping to achieve this through the development of an evidence base and policies that articulate the importance of healthy relationships to policy makers, funders and the public. You will work closely with the senior leadership of the organisation and key external stakeholders.

Your skills and experience

To succeed in this role you will have first class research and policy analysis skills, together with great writing skills to create robust reports that credibly inform our external affairs work. You will have a passion for social justice and the ability to frame policies that clearly explain why relationships matter in society. You will have the intellectual ability to absorb the key evidence and themes in relationships and family policy, and the ambition to further develop our positions and messaging in this area. Stakeholder management, public affairs experience and strong communications skills will be essential in building effective relationships with internal and external audiences.

What we offer

You can expect 25 days annual leave in addition to public holidays.
