The Events Project Manager will project manage Dods events from inception to completion. We are looking for a candidate who is hard-working, organised & has strong attention to detail & excellent time management skills. The candidate will need to be a good communicator, comfortable working across the political & government spectrum & be willing to turn your hand to new challenges.

Responsibilities include:

• To project manage events organised by Dods primarily within the UK but also in Brussels; including conferences, roundtables, awards & receptions, and fringe events at the annual political Party Conferences in September & October 2018
• To meet agreed plans & timelines, & to ensure the smooth running of the event from start to finish
• To create & maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders & customers; meeting & managing expectations as part of this
• To undertake attendees/speakers research, draft invitations & briefing documents
• To invite all attendees, secure speakers & manage all RSVPs, via our online bespoke registration site
• To liaise with the venue on room layout, catering & AV requirements
• To brief & liaise with our design team on creating adverts, websites, htmls, flyers & invite cards
• To manage/undertake any press/social media activity to promote the event
•To manage the budget for events

Requirements:

• Ability to multi-task & work on a range of events & projects at any one time
• A team player with good written & oral communication & problem-solving skills
• Confident & polite on the phone & in person, speaking with Parliamentarians & senior stakeholders
• Patient, level headed & reliable
• A strong work ethic & positive attitude to meeting the challenges of working in a busy time-pressured environment
• Clear communication skills & approachable manner
• 1 years experience of working within events
• A confident user of social media, experience of updating websites & a good knowledge of MS Office applications (especially Excel & Word)
• Understanding of the UK political system & awareness of the UK’s current affairs
• Available for evening & weekend work, events out of London & on an overnight basis
