We are seeking a highly dynamic Business and Innovation Advisor with experience in supporting innovative SMEs, R&D cooperation projects, funding schemes and technology transfer to join our Enterprise Europe Network project team, to contribute to the delivery of UCL’s role in the EEN project. The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) brings together 600 partner organisations in more than 60 countries to help business innovate, grow and succeed internationally.

The role of the EEN Business & Innovation Advisor mainly entails advising London based SMEs and Universities spinouts launching their innovation internationally. In particular, the jobholder will play a major role in scoping innovative SMEs and supporting them with innovation management, R&D commercialisation, and in accessing new markets internationally. The position demands a good business sense, and a strong customer-facing ethos as well as the willingness to speak at events and travel occasionally. The jobholder is also expected to develop strategic partnerships within the University and with relevant stakeholders in the innovation arena in order to increase EEN’s visibility as delivered by UCL.

This is a fixed term post, available immediately for a 6 month period.

Key Requirements

The successful applicant will have experience of working in a similar role and have a background in R&D, business support and innovation management, with a spark interest in technology across sectors and technology transfer.

Candidates will be IT literate and able to demonstrate experience of supporting commercialisation of new ideas, internationalisation of new products and overall business growth success.

Other essential requirements include the ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines, be self-motivated and well organized and available to occasionally travel in the UK and abroad.
