Job Overview
The Heathrow Community Relations and Stakeholder team is responsible for engaging with residents and local stakeholders around Heathrow on a range of airport-related issues. Reporting to the Head of Community Relations this role will manage and promote the airport’s community relations programme and activities related to current operations.
Principal Accountabilities
Developing and delivering Heathrow’s Better Neighbour programme, including oversight of budget, to build local relationships and promote Heathrow as a good neighbour
Responsible for drafting and production of annual Community Relations Report
Leading on support programme with local primary schools located in neighbouring villages impacted by Heathrow’s expansion proposals
Delivery of Local Focus Forum quarterly meetings: setting agenda, securing speakers; providing secretariat support, including organising meeting dates, writing minutes etc
Responsibility for managing communications regarding Heathrow’s current community schemes (noise insulation, vortex etc)
Reviewing and updating community relations web and intranet pages (non-expansion) and feeding into regular communications materials including the borough newspaper and community bulletin.
Assisting media team to promote good news stories to reflect the positive work the Airport carries out in the neighbouring communities.
