As the UK draws ever closer to leaving the European Union, it is important that the views of voluntary organisations and the volunteering community are represented and heard by government. We are seeking an individual with solid experience of influencing government and policy development for this pivotal position within our External Relations Unit.

In this role, you lead our work with NCVO’s members to identify issues that emerge from the UK’s decision to leave the EU. You work with our policy team to develop policy positions relating to the voluntary sector’s interests and lead our influencing work around ‘Brexit’, working with members and external stakeholders in government.

You are an excellent communicator and have the required research skills and knowledge to develop policy from research and stakeholder engagement. You are confident in engaging, influencing and building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including those at senior level. With excellent project management skills, you work well both on your own initiative and as part of a wider team.
