We help people confronting deafness, tinnitus and hearing loss to live the life they choose. We enable them to take control of their lives and remove the barriers in their way.
Role and responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Policy and Campaigns team as we embark on a new five year strategy with the ambitious aim of launching a major new campaign to change public attitudes towards hearing loss.
The Campaigns Officer will sit within the Policy & Campaigns directorate, which is responsible for influencing the government, parliamentarians, policy makers, service providers, individuals and a wide range of other stakeholders to ensure that people with hearing loss do not face barriers in society and that the best possible support is available for them to help manage their condition.
The Campaigns Officer will be passionate about developing and delivering campaigns with impact, that break down the barriers faced by the UK’s 11 million people with hearing loss.
You will have excellent face to face communication and presentation skills and confidence in communicating with high level external stakeholders, and, most importantly, you will be the first point of contact for members of the public getting in touch with the campaigns team.
As well as influencing campaign targets, a central part of the role will be engaging the wider public in our campaigns to achieve the delivery of campaign objectives. The successful candidate will be highly organised with a creative flair and excellent written communication skills, with an understanding of how to inspire and mobilise supporters to take campaign actions using a variety of on- and offline channels.
You will project manage the delivery of campaign activities involving a range of internal stakeholders, delivering outputs ranging from public-facing emails, email to target campaign actions, blogs and campaign videos to campaign events.
