We are looking to recruit a Research Consultant in our London office, with around 1-3 years’ experience and a background in economics, geography, planning, or a social science.

Repsonsibilities:

You will play a key role supporting Lichfields’ award-winning innovation agenda within the Company’s Think Tank, undertaking thought-leadership projects and commercial research across all land use and property sectors.

The role will involve you in producing our regular Insight publications, Economic Outlook briefings, and other outputs, and contribute to internal research projects. You will work with colleagues throughout Lichfields, and use your depth of knowledge and research skills to provide insight on topical economic, property and policy issues.

An ability to use qualitative and quantitative research techniques to provide clarity on complex issues is critical, as is the ability to present data and communicate findings in imaginative ways, including through a variety of forms of media.

You will have the opportunity to input to meetings and presentations and build networks with contacts in practitioner, academic, policy and business organisations. You will also have the opportunity to engage in client-facing commercial research work.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements for this position are:

  • at least 2.1 at first degree level;
  • a first or second degree qualification in economics, geography, planning or an equivalent social science; and
  • excellent report writing, presentational, analytical and numeracy skills.
