Job Details
NEA works across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to ensure that everyone in the UK can afford to live in a warm, dry home. NEA also provides the secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Fuel Poverty & Energy Efficiency Group to raise awareness of the problem of fuel poverty and the policies needed to eradicate it. The affordability of energy is rarely out of the headlines. This is because at least 9,700 people continue to die each year in the UK due to a cold home, the same as the number of people who die from breast or prostate cancer. Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ending this scandal and being at the centre of public policy development to make this a reality? Are you ready to make a real impact on the lives of the most vulnerable energy consumers?
NEA’s Policy and Research Directorate is growing and we are recruiting for a new post of Policy Manager which will have key responsibility for managing and analysing relevant aspects of policy at a local, national and UK level. You will also represent and enhance the co-ordination of NEA’s stakeholder relationships and help us capture key insights and impacts from our practical work to ensure these are reflected in policy positions and our advocacy. To be considered for this role you must have a minimum of five years relevant experience within a national charity, energy industry, lobby group, public affairs department or consumer body and a proven ability to influence key stakeholders. The job description provides a list of the duties of the post and the person specification provides the list of essential and desirable criteria.
Closing Date: 15 June 2018
