We are currently looking for someone with good communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people. We offer a really exciting "hands on" placement with a close-knit and supportive team and space to develop your own skills and passions as you explore God's call in your life.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating a weekly breakfast for refugees and vulnerable migrants
- Providing pastoral support and some advocacy work for refugees and asylum seekers
- Networking with other refugee service providers
- Helping to plan a weekly night shelter
- Organising, leading and encouraging a thriving 20s and 30s community (previous events include a Story Slam, Interfaith Peace Feast and a variety of exciting talks and discussions)
- planning creative services with the Associate Rector
- being the St James's representative for the campaigning group London Citizens (a branch of Citizens UK) and campaigning with Citizens UK
- exploring God's call in your life - whatever that may be
