                    We’re South West London Health and Care Partnership and we believe that people’s care is better when it is organised around their needs. This is why we are working to bring together the NHS, local councils and the voluntary sector in South West London to improve the health and care of local people in our six boroughs.
And now we want you to join our team. We are looking for a Public Affairs Officer to support our engagement with decision-makers to promote the partnership and demonstrate the health and wellbeing benefits that collaborative working can bring to people in South West London.
This is a newly created role to support the Public Affairs team to sustain and strengthen engagement with, and support for, the South West London Health and Care Partnership, and the six individual CCGs in the patch. You will take a leading role in monitoring national and local policy issues to ensure senior colleagues are fully up to speed about the changing political landscape, coordinating our engagement with key decision makers, writing briefings and developing effective internal and external relationships across the partnership. The Officer will also work across the wider communications and engagement team to deliver communications that supports the partnership’s objectives.
As well as excellent interpersonal skills with good written and verbal communication skills, you will have a strong understanding of the workings of Parliament and local government and an interest in current affairs.
Experience of working in a political, parliamentary and/or public affairs environment, managing a diverse workload and completing projects to deadlines is essential. Experience of working within the NHS or health sector is desirable.
