This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised professional to develop and deliver the public affairs programme for one of Britain's largest and most respected business organisations.
The BCC is a lead commentator and influencer on numerous key business issues and as such you will have the opportunity to engage and influence Westminster and Whitehall at all levels, working closely with BCC's policy, research and media teams.
You will deliver targeted programmes for senior BCC spokespeople with key stakeholders, brief and accompany them to minsterial meetings and represent BCC to government and regulators.
You will further build BCC's policy profile through effective monitoring, production of briefings and select committee support. You will also work with the wider Chamber Network on specific policy areas and facilitate regional ministerial and senior official visits.
You will lead the development of public affairs programme and content for key BCC events including the AGM, which features Cabinet level speakers.
You will also execute public affairs support for key BCC campaign priorities.
We seek 3-5 years demonstrable public affairs experience, in-house, association or agency. You will be a confident team player, with deep knowledge of the UK political system, politics and business issues. Ideally, with a track record of delivering targeted campaigns.
We seek to appoint as soon as possible.
