With more than 40 years’ experience as specialists in parliamentary and political monitoring, Randall’s Monitoring provides a focused and personal service covering Westminster, Whitehall and the devolved instititions.

We have an exciting opportunity for an additional Monitoring Executive to join our close-knit team.

This role would best suit someone with experience in a related position, who is now looking to expand and cement their parliamentary and political knowledge and their client skills.

We operate in a fast-moving political landscape and our clients need solid advice and comprehensive information, especially at a time when Brexit means that the procedures of the UK Parliament are arguably more relevant than they have been for the last 40 years.

The successful applicant should expect to be:

  • Working across a broad range of clients to keep them fully up to date with developments that matter to them, both by email and by phone;
  • Distributing daily monitoring information alongside the rest of the team;
  • Turning around quick and accurate research in response to client queries;
  • Contributing to our own proactive briefings, diaries and bulletins;
  • Monitoring one of the devolved assemblies.

We don’t mind whether you are have been working for a while or have just left full-time education, but you must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Relevant experience in a related political/parliamentary role;
  • Great customer service skills;
  • A can-do attitude (we’re a small team and everyone mucks in to keep the office running);
  • Excellent writing skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Personal organisational skills, especially time management and multitasking;
  • Excellent telephone manner, and;
  • Hardworking and proactive attitude.

In addition to salary, we offer a discretionary annual team performance bonus (eligible after 12 months' consecutive employment), and a workplace pension.

Interviews will be during July. It is envisaged that you will start with us at the beginning of September.
