Job Details

Resolution Foundation is looking for two exceptional candidates to help drive the Foundation’s production of high quality, innovative economic analysis and support the development of social policy recommendations. The roles will add to our capacity across a range of areas, including the labour market, tax, incomes and inequality, and wealth. Additionally, one of the post holders will lead our work on the UK social security system, including analysing the distributional effects of working-age welfare policy and testing innovative policy alternatives.

We’re keen to hear from candidates with exceptional quantitative research skills. The roles would suit individuals with formal training in statistical or econometric analysis and good knowledge of the key datasets relating to living standards and social security in the UK. Candidates will ideally have extensive experience of applying that training in a work environment, with those who have more formal training requiring less work experience and vice versa. We also require a thorough understanding of policy development, and for the senior position, evidence of extensive experience in a research or policy making environment.

The Foundation prides itself on analytical rigour and we strive to achieve standards of excellence in all our work. This commitment is matched by dedication to our core purpose, working to improve the living standards of those on low to middle incomes. These twin pillars of excellence and purpose underpin everything we do.

We offer a competitive benefits package and the opportunity for researchers to establish individual reputations as leading experts in their field, enjoying frequent interaction with senior stakeholders in government, media and the wider policy-making world.

We are actively seeking to increase the diversity of our workforce and welcome applications from all under-represented communities and groups. Applicants on secondment will also be considered.

Closing Date: 17 July 2018

Interviews will be held w/c 23 July 2018.
