Permanent – Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

IPPR (The Institute for Public Policy Research) is seeking to recruit a Senior Research Fellow. The Senior Research Fellow post is an exciting role based in the Energy, Climate, Housing and Infrastructure Team. The successful candidate will lead IPPR’s work on energy. The position will allow the successful candidates to develop their profile within a context that actively encourages the production of excellent research publications and strong policy and communications impact.

The successful candidates will have proven expertise in energy policy and knowledge of the other aspects of the team’s work on climate, housing and infrastructure is also desirable. In addition, they will be expected to have high-level quantitative or qualitative research skills, and an excellent track record of published work. They will have an understanding of government, the wider policy making community, and how to effect change in policy making and practice. They will also have demonstrable expertise in the successful development, funding, management, delivery and dissemination of research projects to time and to budget.
