Overview:
A social enterprise and membership organisation which generates its own income, WISE is growing fast as it develops relationships with an increasing number of corporate, institutional members and commercial clients. The Research Manager is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high profile national organisation where you can make a difference to society.

The Research Manager will lead on delivering strategic research on behalf of WISE and partners, strengthening the evidence base for gender balance across STEM occupations and WISE’s position as thought leaders. There are three key elements to this role:
• Analysing and reporting on the progress towards the WISE strategic objective of there being one million women working in core STEM occupations by 2020 by researching external statistics, reports and papers.
• Developing tools to benchmark and measure progress of our Ten Steps signatories against key gender balance metrics, measuring the impact of programmes to understand what really works.
• Delivering wider reaching research projects, agreed with the leadership team, to enhance and inform the delivery of WISE business objectives, through producing best practice, white papers and new product recommendations that will support the WISE goal of gender balance in STEM.
The role will require strong analysis, interpretation, influencing and report writing skills.
The Research Manager will be a key member of the WISE Development Team.

Terms:
5% pension contribution for eligible employees and London weighting of £2,500 where applicable
Location:
Home-based with flexibility to attend meetings and events throughout the UK as required and the WISE head office in Leeds.
Hours:
The post is part-time with hours of work at 22.5 hours per week.
Hours of work to be agreed and will be during Monday to Friday office hours.
25 days holiday per annum pro rata plus bank holidays pro rata.
