The leading professional association responsible for fostering enterprise and promoting innovation in the engineering and manufacturing sector, needs to hire an Interim External Affairs Executive to start ASAP for c3 months, with potential to go longer-term.

Reporting to the Head of Public Affairs, the interim External Affairs Executive will provide support across the department, working disciplines in support of government affairs, media and wider communications. You will provide political engagement support on a range of policy areas, arranging meetings with relevant politicians and drafting materials as required. You will also be responsible for writing and research projects, including the production of a weekly e-bulletin for members and key stakeholders, and drafting of Q&As for senior leaders within the organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your public affairs / communications experience, working for a high profile and fascinating organisation sitting at the heart of manufacturing and engineering industry. Suitable candidates must be available to start this role as short notice and will have proven experience of working in external / public affairs. You will have a good knowledge of Westminster & Whitehall and great written and oral communications expertise.
