Job Details

An exciting opportunity to join YoungMinds – the voice for young people’s mental health and wellbeing!

YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity fighting for young people’s mental health. Through our media work, we offer advice and support to young people with mental health problems, provide guidance for parents, and make the case for improved mental health services. Through our campaigns, we propose practical solutions to challenges in the mental health system and help young people to support themselves and each other.

In this job, from our London-based office, you will research media stories, play an important role in campaigns like Self-Harm Awareness Day, work with journalists and our celebrity ambassadors, and help us fight for better mental health support in schools and through the NHS.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has recently left education and/or is looking to start work in the charity sector, is passionate about children and young people’s mental health, and is keen to make a difference. As part of the role, you will receive excellent training and development opportunities.

This post is generously supported by the Jack Petchey Foundation. You must be available to start before 14th September 2018, and be able to attend a conference, including an overnight stay, from 27th-28th September 2018.

YoungMinds is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Closing Date: 3 August 2018

Interview/Start Dates

Interviews will be held the week beginning 6th August 2018 in our London office.
