The Institute of Fundraising (IoF) is the membership organisation for professional fundraisers in the UK. Currently the Institute supports and provides services for 6,000 individual members and nearly 600 organisational members. Members and non-members access training, qualifications, conferences and events, policy and guidance. The IoF is also the home of the Remember a Charity campaign and public fundraising Compliance Directorate (formerly PFRA). The Institute facilitates more than 30 volunteer-led regional and special interest groups which organise local networks, events and conferences

Background:

This key professional development (PD) role provides lead administrative support to the IoF Academy team and a supporting role for the IoF Events team. The IoF Academy has been in business since January 2010 and offers a range of offline, blended and online-only PD opportunities. Each year hundreds of fundraisers gain a professional qualification or attend a short course; our Events programme includes conferences, awards and briefings.

Purpose of Job:

This post holder will have lead day to day operational responsibility for managing Academy customer liaison, processing bookings and leading on logistics for online and offline PD activities including qualification and training courses; working closely with Events colleagues they will also support the IoF’s flagship and annual three-day event ‘Fundraising Convention’ and other conferences. In addition the post holder also works closely with our Regional, National and Special Interest volunteer-led groups to support the successful delivery of the Introduction to Fundraising (ItFR) course (and/or other training as required) and project manages the annual graduation event.
