We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join us as Policy and Advocacy Advisor on a 6 month maternity cover basis, focusing on Nutrition and supporting the development and delivery of Save the Children’s nutrition advocacy strategy. You will work with partner organisations to improve infant and young child feeding practices.

As Policy and Advocacy Advisor you will deliver capacity building activity and support to Save the Children country offices and Scaling Up Nutrition civil society alliances on nutrition and Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) advocacy. Working with the Senior Policy and Research Advisor, you will facilitate connections between national and global advocacy strategies and opportunities on IYCF breastfeeding and compliance with ‘the Code’. 

To be successful you will have extensive advocacy experience and a track record of influencing successfully, ideally both in advanced and developing countries, and in the context of NGOs. Resilient and energetic, you will have experience of effective team work and outstanding inter-personal communication skills.
