Job Details

The Britain-Australia Society Education Trust is seeking a professional with knowledge of the charity sector. We are especially interested in candidates demonstrating experience in the launch and management of fundraising campaigns. BASET is a unique charity underpinned by the belief that Britain and Australia have a special bond and a shared future relationship which can benefit both countries through the building of personal relationships.

BASET operates through an awards programme which can demonstrate early success and showcase what it is capable of achieving. Initially the role will be on a project basis for six months with the intention that it becomes permanent thereafter.

Candidate requirements:
• Experience of fundraising (focusing on the HNW individual, philanthropic and corporate donor audience)
• A good working knowledge, based upon relevant experience, of the charitable sector, to help put in place the essential building blocks of a growing charity
• Strong marketing credentials to establish and promote a BASET brand
• Good organisational and administrative capabilities and the ability to work independently

This opportunity is best suited to someone who is already familiar with the unique relationship between Britain and Australia and either sees the BASET role as an opportunity to accelerate their career or someone who wishes to apply their experience and skill to leaving their mark on a charity because of their belief in its rationale and value.

Remuneration package:
For the first six-month phase the preference is to combine an element of monthly fixed remuneration with an outcome-based bonus depending on the level of funds raised. A successful candidate will move onto a full-time contract with a larger fixed element and the opportunity for further bonuses.
There is some flexibility as to whether part-time (min 3 days/week) or full time, depending on a candidates experience and requirements. The annual equivalent package will be competitive and expected to reflect a salary in the £30-40K range.
