Our clients include AB InBev, Kier Group, Godolphin, Camping and Caravanning Club, Chartered Institute of Marketing and the British Psychological Society.
We are looking for an experienced media sales executive to work across our membership magazines and digital portfolio.
You will be selling advertising and sponsorships for a variety of leading membership organisations, and one of the UK's leading political titles across print and digital channels.
You will be speaking to clients over the phone and face-to-face, to gain an understanding of their business objectives, with the aim of creating convincing advertising and promotional solutions through your commercial portfolio.
As the role requires you to work across a number of markets and sectors, excellent verbal and written communication skills are absolutely integral to this position, as are time-management skills.
You will manage existing advertisers and sponsors, and identifying and growing new ones. Your main tasks will include:
- Selling advertising across print, digital, web and mobile
- Selling sponsorship and webinars
- Identifying and prospecting new opportunities and expanding your advertiser accounts
- Developing and growing revenues
- Managing existing and potential new advertisers
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Ideally, you will already have commercial experience of selling print and/or digital advertising for a B2B or B2C print/online title. Previous experience of working for membership bodies or selling a political title would be an advantage, but is not essential.
You will be optimistic, enthusiastic, professional, energetic and talkative. Our selling style is consultative, not aggressive, so you must be able to demonstrate excellent negotiation and communication skills (both on the telephone and face-to-face), have a positive and adaptable attitude, and be looking for a new challenge – and an opportunity to develop your career.
