Job Details

Are you looking for an exciting role with a growing campaigning organisation?

We are looking for someone to work with our permanent Training and Events Coordinator to put on events, actions and training to build networks and relationships leading up to the DSEI arms fair in September 2019. This is a great opportunity if you have good event planning and delivery experience and an interest in a better approach to global security.

The Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT) works to end the international arms trade and promote peace, justice and democratic values. The arms industry is a deadly, corrupt business that has a devastating impact on human rights and global security, and damages economic development.

CAAT is seeking a Training and Events Coordinator to join its team. This is a temporary post until 31 October 2019 for 17.5 hours a week. The main responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating engaging events, actions and training
  • Outreach and mobilisation of supporters
  • Building networks and relationships with groups and organisations
  • Maintain systems to monitor and evaluation your work

The successful candidate must have experience in planning, delivering and evaluating successful campaign actions, be an effective communicator, have good time management skills, support the aims of the organisation and be committed to working in a non-hierarchical setting.

If you would like to make a positive impact working alongside colleagues committed to ending the arms trade, we would love to hear from you.

Closing Date: 16 October 2018

Interview/Start Dates

The deadline for receiving application forms is 5pm Tuesday 16th October. We will not appoint before the closing date. Interviews will be held on either Thursday 1 or Friday 2 November. We hope the successful candidate can start as soon after this as possible.
