We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive press office and communications executive to join our corporate affairs team. As a self-starter, you’ll play a key role in TalkTalk’s press office, acting as the first port of call for journalists contacting us.

You will also support the rest of the team by helping to deliver corporate communications, public affairs and CSR campaigns and events aimed at building our external reputation; monitoring media and online coverage so we have a clear idea what's being said about us in real time; and maintaining our corporate website and social channels.

Key Responsibilities

Be at the front line of TalkTalk’s press office, taking responsibility for manning the phone, inbox and social channels (incl. some out-of-hours).

Assess inbound press enquiries for urgency and importance and implement the relevant escalation processes as required.

Work collaboratively with internal teams (e.g. customer services, technology, product and online teams) to help manage and resolve press office enquiries.

Prepare daily media monitoring reports (including social media monitoring), as well as other media updates as necessary, keeping all areas of the business informed.

Maintain our online corporate communications channels, such as the Group website and Twitter feed, ensuring there's a steady stream of timely, interesting and engaging content.

Provide support for the rest of the team with corporate communications, public affairs and CSR campaigns and events.
