As an External Affairs Project Manager at World Animal Protection, you will manage and maximize internal and external stakeholder relationships. This is a position within the External Affairs team where you will get to work to achieve lasting impact for animals worldwide.

In this challenging and rewarding stakeholder facing role, your strong influencing and communication expertise will help us to move ever closer to a world where animal welfare is put on the global agenda to create positive systemic change in our communities and societies.

Working with the Head of External and colleagues at global and local level, you will input into the development and delivery of the second edition of World Animal Protection’s Animal Protection Index, an advocacy tool that ranks animal welfare policy and legislation in 50 countries.

You will play a key role in identifying, building and managing relationships with internal stakeholders to build the content for the index and across a wide range of audiences in the public fora, media, political, economic and social environments, both at national and regional levels.

You will have the confidence and gravitas to act as an effective spokesperson for or our organisation, whenever appropriate.

• You will be a highly skilled and motivated stakeholder engagement specialist, with a proven track record in developing and delivering projects or campaigns to achieve specific outcomes.
• Experience in understanding global debates and their relevance in local policy production.
• Your communication and influencing skills will be complemented by the ability to meet strategic objectives. This will include the ability to understand and comment on policy and legislation in easily accessible and engaging communication styles, both in public presentations and in written form.
• You will thrive in working for a mission-led campaigning organisation, confident in championing our cause and ambitions. An effective thought leader, you will have the capacity to communicate direction, motivate others, gain commitment to action and develop mutual co-operation across teams and external stakeholders.
