We’re looking for a Policy Adviser, Prudential Regulation, to lead the policy analysis, and support influencing of, the international and investment aspects of the prudential regulation activity of the Association of British Insurers (ABI).

On international prudential regulation, some of your key priorities will be around the activity of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors and the Financial Stability Board. This includes issues such as the international capital framework; systemic and macroprudential risk in insurance; and recovery and resolution. On investments, your primary concern will be the role of insurers as institutional investors.

We will be able to support you to get up to speed with some of the technicalities of the issues you’ll be working on. What’s most important is your analytical and technical capability and the speed at which you can pick up complex issues and make them accessible for others.
