Job Details
Do you want to see an end to global poverty? Do you want to campaign on issues such as refugees, inequality and climate change? Then why not give a few hours per month as a volunteer Constituency Campaigner?
As a Constituency Campaigner, you might find yourself persuading your MP to turn up and vote for new legislation that will ensure more refugees can be reunited with their families or meeting with your MP to talk to them about why action on climate change matters to you.
Whatever your background or experience, if you can devote a few hours a month and share our values and passion for tackling the issues that cause suffering to so many, then please join us. Our volunteer Constituency Campaigner Programme gives you the influencing skills and information to be able to engage your MP and other decision-makers on Oxfam's campaigns. No previous experience is necessary. You will learn about the issues that we campaign on, the work of an international development charity and how Parliament works.
Successful applicants will be notified as soon as possible after the closing date and will be required to attend a one day induction training on a weekend in January in either London or Manchester.
Travel expenses to the induction training will be reimbursed in line with Oxfam's volunteer policy.
Closing Date: 30 November 2018
Interview/Start Dates
Induction training will be held on either Saturday 12th or 26th January 2019 in either London or Manchester. Expenses to travel to the training and food will be reimbursed.
