We are looking for an experienced and politically-aware person to join the strong team supporting the Leader of the Council and Labour Group Councillors.

This is an exciting role in a busy and dynamic office at the heart of one of the country’s highest profile councils. You will be supporting the majority group to take forward their objectives and will be working closely with councillors, supporting the Leader and Executive to make effective decisions. You should be someone who can make things happen with a problem-solving attitude and strong attention to detail.

You should have significant experience of working in a political environment, be flexible both in working methods and hours, and have a friendly and positive manner.

If you have excellent communication skills, imagination, are able to build good relationships with a variety of people, take the initiative and work as part of a team, we want to hear from you.
