Public Affairs Adviser/ Specialist – The Role
You will operate at the heart of our advocacy in the UK by providing specialist advice to the organisation on political strategy and working with WWF colleagues as we influence government policy to support the restoration of nature.

You will find yourself working closely with one or more of our policy teams on specific advocacy programmes and campaigns, and playing a key role in the team’s day to day briefing, relationship building and political monitoring.

Your remit will also include delivering political events and developing relationships with politicians on our behalf.

Public Affairs Adviser/ Specialist – Required
You must have knowledge of Westminster and Whitehall as well as Parliamentary processes and be able to demonstrate your experience of influencing political decisions. You will also have a proven track record of developing briefings, planning and delivering events and will be comfortable coordinating external stakeholders and internal resources to deliver results.

You will possess strong communication, relationship building and coordinating skills.

Significant experience of influencing senior political stakeholders would be desirable, as would demonstrable ability to develop and implement political advocacy strategies to support campaign objectives. A strong understanding of the Westminster legislative process and experience of influencing a Bill as it passes through Parliament would also be desirable for the Public Affairs Specialist position.
