We are looking for several entry-level analysts with proficient research skills in the following key languages: Arabic, Chinese, Italian, Portuguese or Russian. Additional languages are desirable, though candidates should be proficient in at least one of the above.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will carry out the following duties and responsibilities:
- Produce high quality and accurate English-language written reports;
- Ability to read sources in English and at least one key language;
- Draft reports with large amount of information about background, activities and reputations of businesses and businesspeople;
- Conduct detailed investigative research and analysis focused on emerging markets, to help clients identify and understand regulatory and reputational risks before proceeding with commercial relationships;
- Produce high quality and accurate written work with the ability to understand and summarise large amounts of information from diverse sources;
- Master our entry level reports while working to strict deadlines;
- Seeks and respond well to development feedback; and
- Work effectively both independently and in a team.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience required
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Basic understanding of the methodology, and key reputational and regulatory risks behind due diligence research in emerging markets;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Fluent in English in reading, writing, speaking and listening;
- Proficient reading at least one key language;
- A bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, International Relations, Area Studies, Foreign languages or a related field from a respected and accredited university;
- Strong interpersonal communication skills;
- Accurate and detailed research skills as well as an inquiring mindset; and
- Capacity to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and an ability to innovate.
