Job Title: Intern
Working For: Seahorse Environmental Communications
Salary: £10.20 per hour for 8 hours per day
Seahorse Environmental Communications designs and executes political campaigns and communications programmes that enhance both the natural environment and the commercial success of our clients. We are looking for an intern to support the day to day delivery of client work.
This is an ideal entry-level position for a graduate who is interested in the environmental sector and a career in public affairs, and who is looking to gain experience.
Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organised and motivated, work well under pressure, and use their initiative. A strong interest in politics and the environment and an ability to get involved in discussions around complex issues is also a key requirement.
Tasks are split evenly between client work and administrative support. This is likely to include:
• Conducting research
• Monitoring political activity and media coverage
• Creating web and social media content
• Writing briefings
• Organising meetings
• Handling office enquiries
• Providing additional administrative support
Closing Date: 21 December 2018
Interviews will take place in the first week of January, with the role starting on 21st January. The internship would initially last for a period of 4 months, with scope to extend.
