Do you have considerable experience of European public affairs? Have you previously worked with international organisations?

We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional and confident individual to join our Public Affairs team as European Policy Advisor.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 15,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

In this role you will lead on the coordination and implementation of the EU political engagement programme for Dogs Trust and the EU Dog & Cat Alliance, raising awareness of our policies amongst key EU opinion formers. You will have considerable experience of European public affairs, including experience of working with the European Parliament, the European Commission and the Council of the EU, and be a senior figure in the research and presentation of Dogs Trust and the EU Dog & Cat Alliance’s European political activities. You will also provide the secretariat for the EU Dog & Cat Alliance.

The post holder will need to be independent and demonstrate an ability to deliver their own projects, as well as working collaboratively with the rest of the Public Affairs team and wider teams within Dogs Trust.
