Due to business growth in Mott MacDonald's social development team, we’re looking for Consultants at the experienced, Senior and Principal levels to join our teams in Birmingham, Brighton or London. We’re looking for professionals who are interested in understanding how infrastructure, policy and services interact with local communities. Through joining our social development team, you’ll be involved in managing impact assessments, evidence reviews, policy research, stakeholder engagement and analytical projects. In addition to this you will deliver assignments for our existing client base, liaise with new clients and be involved in winning new work to grow the business further.

What will you be doing each day?

Project management
Through engaging with various clients and stakeholders you’ll be involved in managing and delivering a range of projects in sectors including; transport, health, infrastructure, equality, community development, housing and regeneration. In addition to this, you will also produce reports, action plans and presentations.

Business development
You’ll respond to client briefs and help to develop our social development consultancy offering on a regional and national basis. This will be through participating in growing work streams and winning work through writing bids for specific and targeted opportunities.

Engagement
As part of the growing social development team, you will design and deliver stakeholder engagement including focus groups and workshops as well as liaise with clients, stakeholders and senior stakeholders. In addition to this, you could be involved in engaging and managing staff members in project teams.

Does this sound like you?
As an experienced Consultant, you have a personal and professional passion for economic and social development, social science and research with a background in managing and delivering projects for a variety of sectors with high profile clients. You are confident in understanding impact assessments, designing qualitative and quantitative research and writing and delivering presentations. In addition to this, you’ve worked on a variety of projects throughout your career including analysis of schemes, impacts and strategies and you have also been involved in writing and winning bids.
