Job Title: Policy Media Executive
Working For: Policy in Practice Ltd
Salary: Up to £26,000 pa (pro rata, 3 days a week) or higher depending on experience.
Policy in Practice believes the welfare system can work better. We were founded to help people towards financial independence. As a policy led software and analytics business, we’ve built three core services to make the welfare system simple to navigate and understand.
- Policy in Practice's award winning Benefit and Budgeting calculator is currently used by over 10,000 people every day.
- Our analytics services are used to design local support schemes and show the combined impact of different policies on individual households.
- Our LIFT Dashboard finds trends and relationships in datasets to uncover and visualise the drivers of poverty.
We use our policy expertise to drive change via publications, media coverage and blog posts.
We’re now seeking a talented Policy Media Executive who can help deliver marketing and awareness generation activities, playing an important role in the next stage of growth. With four front-pages in 2018, you'll be joining an already successful team.
In this new role within the marketing team you will contribute to increasing our exposure in broadcast as well as social media. You’ll also broaden our reach by securing speaking engagements at sector events. Your success will be measured by growth in the number of people who visit our website, as well as growth in our social media engagement.
You'll be an excellent communicator and storyteller, possibly someone with a journalistic background, who knows how to identify, place and follow up a story. Working directly with the Head of Marketing and closely with the company founder and Director, you must clearly understand the role marketing and PR plays in delivering business growth.
Closing Date: 15 February 2019
Permanent contract subject to probationary review.
Start date is as soon as possible, with an initial phone call to shortlisted candidates in February.
This will be followed by a relevant task assigned to those progressed to the next stage, and a face to face interview.
Please send your CV with a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will endeavour to acknowledge all applications, but will only re-contact those shortlisted for an initial phone interview.
