Do you want to play a key role in an organisation which stands up for children? Then join us as Head of UK Poverty Advocacy, overseeing the work of the entire department and working with other teams across the organisation, including government relations and media to oversee delivery of our ongoing UK campaigns and to support the theory of change project.

Whilst the departmental director takes a six month internal secondment, as Head of UK Poverty Advocacy you will lead the departmental senior leadership team discussions on key strategic, people and budget decisions related to our current campaigns and advocacy. You will have the opportunity to lead delivery of our two influencing strategies – supporting children in poverty in their early years by improving the access and affordability of childcare and driving up the quality of early education.

To be successful you will have significant experience of leading teams using combinations of policy, research, campaigns and political advocacy to achieve change. The ability to sustain strong and diverse external networks among relevant influencers is also essential as is a demonstrable ability to drive a positive and supportive working culture.
