Job Details

The Electoral Reform Society is looking for a full-time Public Affairs/Campaigns Officer to join our London office on a permanent basis.

Background

Our vision is a representative democracy fit for the 21st century. We are ambitious for far-reaching changes to the way politics works in Britain. Our work seeks to:

  • Develop the credibility, relationships and voice to shape a new political reform agenda;
  • Capitalise on current developments to get the failings of First Past the Post back on the national agenda;
  • Making the case for English and Welsh local government to follow Scotland’s success in introducing proportional representation (via the Single Transferable Vote) to elect councillors.

To achieve these goals we will bring an independent voice to lead and contribute to debates about democracy at all levels of British society.

The ERS has a significant media profile as a respected and long-standing organisation which produces high-quality commentary, research and materials. You will play an important role in campaigning to push the Society’s vision up the agenda.

Closing Date: 4 March 2019

Interview/Start Dates

Interviews will take place week beginning 11th March.
