The Centre for Policy Studies is looking to employ someone in the position of Communications and Events Officer at their Westminster office.
The applicant should be highly organised, a strong communicator and someone who is able to work flexibly to deadlines in a fast-paced office.
Responsibilities will include:
• Drafting press releases and newsletter for local and national media and supporters of the CPS
• Contributing to the running of website content and social media
• Media Monitoring
• Promote the work of the CPS to key stakeholders in Westminster
• Organise and manage public events in the CPS calendar from conception to delivery
• Work with the Head of External Relations to organise, run and promote key flagship CPS events and conferences, assisting on operations and logistics
• Carrying out other duties as and when required in order to contribute to the efficient running of the Centre for Policy Studies.
Required experience/skills:
• Highly organised
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise own workload and work to deadlines.
• Familiarity with all Microsoft Office packages.
• Able to confidently lead a small team when managing events
• Previous experience in a similar environment is desirable but not required.
Candidates should be sympathetic to the aims and values of the Centre for Policy Studies.
