BGIPU is seeking a part-time Finance and Administration Assistant to support the Finance and Administration Manager. This is a part- time post of 20 hours per week. The hours worked can be flexible and could also include some working from home depending on business and personal requirements.
To support the Finance and Administration Manager, particularly during peak times such as the monthly and financial year end and annual audit periods, or during her absence, as follows:
Act as supplementary administrator for online banking and credit cards; Process invoices and expense claims including checking and taking appropriate follow-up action to address missing, late or incomplete documentation; Petty cash processing and reconciliation; Assist with monthly bank reconciliation; Liaise with the House of Commons Pay Administrator and bank auto pay to ensure staff are paid correctly and on time each month by notifying them of changes to pay, joiners, leavers etc; Produce and despatch monthly pension report to Pension Provider; Provide administrative support when required in support of HR, e.g. during recruitment; Monitor and reorder stationery, hospitality and kitchen supplies.
Subject to a probation period of six months, the post is offered on a part-time basis (20 hours per week) through an initial fixed term contract of 1 year with the possibility of permanent appointment in the future. The successful applicant will be required to undergo security clearance to CTC level and must have the right to live and work in the UK.
