The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) exists to connect, develop, promote and support Parliamentarians and their staff to identify benchmarks of good governance and the implementation of the enduring values of the Commonwealth. The CPA collaborates with Parliaments and other organisations, including the intergovernmental community, to achieve its Statement of Purpose.

CPA activities focus on the Commonwealth’s commitment to its fundamental political values, including: just and honest government, the alleviation of poverty, fundamental human rights, international peace and order, global economic development, the rule of law, equal rights and representation for all citizens of both genders, the separation of powers among the three branches of government and the right to participate in free and democratic political processes.

We are looking for a, motivated, hard-working and organised individual who is committed to the aims of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.

Working under the supervision of the Programmes Managers to ensure the smooth, timely and cost-effective administration of conferences, events and meetings. The postholder will provide support to the Head of Parliamentary Development and Programmes Managers in preparing and delivering CPA programmes, contributing to the maintenance of programme budgets and maintaining financial best practice. The requirement to providing research and drafting speeches where required, are also key components of the role.

You will need to have attention to detail, excellent planning and organising skills, an ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and work as a team player
