Greenpeace investigate, expose and confront environmental abuse by governments and corporations around the world. They currently have an exciting opportunity for an Engaging Recruitment Intern to sit within their busy Human Resources (HR) team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Greenpeace UK Career Page Redevelopment

  • Look for innovative ways to showcase Greenpeace’s internship programme both internally and externally
  • Strengthen the Greenpeace employer brand using engaging stories, images and information to help attract people who are a good fit for Greenpeace
  • Work with recruiting managers who often recruit those hard to fill vacancies
  • Think creatively to come up with ways to promote their vacancy and team to the public
  • Look for creative ways to engage hiring managers in the recruitment of new staff

Job Candidate Journey Review

  • Working with the HR team and recruiting managers, produce useful materials to aid candidates through the application process
  • Develop and implement a process, to evaluate each recruitment campaign, upon its conclusion, with the recruiting manager
  • Look for new opportunities to use social media for their recruitment advertising purposes, testing and developing new approaches

Recruitment Support

  • Support the HR team with recruitment processes; preparing job packs, advertising vacancies, candidate communication, preparation for shortlisting and interviews, etc.
  • Act as point of contact for recruiting managers and candidates, answering queries and seeking advice where necessary
  • Manage the HR inbox, answering queries from the public and staff regarding recruitment, training, work experience, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

  • Interested in a career within HR, with perhaps future plans to study for their CIPD qualification (Charter Institute of Personnel & Development)
  • Strong communicator with excellent writing skills
  • Creative and willing to experiment with different formats, media and tools to engage audiences
  • Obsessed with detail and accuracy
  • Collaboration team player, able to integrate into the team quickly and work with a variety of people from across the organisation
