Caroline Lucas is the first Green MP and a high profile campaigner for environmental, economic and social justice.
She is looking for two exceptional advisers to join her small team.
The parliamentary adviser (environment) will thrive working at a fast pace, be used to juggling lots of priorities and relish the opportunity to help Caroline make a strategic difference. Decisive, personable and thorough, you will have an eye for what makes a good political intervention and an ear to the ground of the wider movements with whom Caroline works.
The parliamentary adviser will be a strong written and oral communicator, have excellent political antenna, be confident setting priorities, and enjoy working at a fast and furious pace. You will be good at detail, complex ideas and building professional relationships, as well as having a strategic grasp of the role of the MP as a campaigner.
Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
