The World Transformed (TWT) with support from the Barry Amiel & Norman Melburn Trust, is recruiting for a one-year Research Fellow to research political education in the UK.

The World Transformed is a project which grew out of the movement formed in the wake of Jeremy Corbyn’s 2015 leadership campaign. Inspired by the optimism and energy that emerged from that campaign, as well as the thousands of people engaging with politics for the first time, we organised TWT 2016 - a four day festival of politics, art and culture in Liverpool.

Since then, we have grown, organising two more festivals in 2017 and 2018, and launching our Political Education Network - with the aim of helping make political education happen across the country all year round.

This is a unique opportunity for early career researchers to work on TWT’s mapping and assessment of political education, highlight existing initiatives, establish best practices, and identify critical gaps where more could be done. The findings will shape TWT’s future plans for developing a national political education network and the Trust’s funding priorities.
