IC Events is recruiting a Conference Producer to assist with 2 events the Group has been commissioned to organise for high-level clients. The purpose of the job is:

a) to conceptualise, design and manage programmes;

b) identify, secure and manage high-level speakers; and

c) to contribute and bring new elements to the programme and format of events.

We are looking for someone who is purposeful, with strong research and communication skills and who is a self-starter and strong problem solver. The role is initially for a period of 6-months with an option to become a full time employee of the group. It will be of particular interest to someone with an affinity for emerging markets and issues relating to development.

The successful candidate will be expected to be knowledgeable or quickly get up to speed with the different themes and topics that are being discussed in the African business, development and policy making space.

We are looking for a person who takes their work – and not themselves – seriously and who will enjoy the freedom of a fairly large brief, with the ability to distil it into a focused programme framework.

Person Specification - University Degree in a relevant subject - Experience in event production and speaker management - Excellent research and English written communication skills
