Job Title: Grants Officer (one year, part-time)
Working For: Friends Provident Foundation
Salary: up to £25,000 pro rata
Friends Provident Foundation is a small, independent, endowed charity based in the historic city of York - with a big ambition to build a fair economy and better world.
We are looking for an experienced project manager to become our Grants Officer (maternity cover). Working with our small, friendly team you will support relationships with the many organisations we currently fund. You will help assess proposals, review projects and maintain close links with our partners.
You will need to have demonstrable project management experience, be sharply analytical, highly organised, have excellent written and verbal skills and a real commitment to addressing fundamental social issues. Experience and understanding of the ‘not for profit’ sector is essential. Knowledge and understanding of ethical issues relating to financial systems or the economy would be an advantage. Balancing the ability to work independently with effective team work will be key to success at the Foundation.
The post is based in York but the postholder would be expected to travel within the UK from time to time and attend quarterly Trustee meetings in London. The post is for 3 days per week; flexible working arrangements are available.
