The RIBA is recruiting a Senior Policy & Public Affairs adviser to support our public policy work – with a particular focus on Brexit, international trade, and the sustainable development goals (SDGs). Working within the External Affairs team, you will be responsible for developing policy positions that reflect the RIBA’s strategy, and ensuring that the views and work of the RIBA and our members are represented to Parliamentarians, Civil Servants and other key stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills, an eye for the details, a passion for politics and a track-record of influencing the policy-making process. You will have experience of working in a political environment, in parliament, government, or through in-house or consultancy roles.

The RIBA undertakes policy development and thought leadership work on the key issues in architecture and the built environment in support of our charitable objectives. Our work covers issues including housing, planning, the value of design, fire safety, Brexit and sustainability.
