Purpose of role

UNHCR Goodwill Ambassadors include individuals such as Cate Blanchett, Ben Stiller and Neil Gaiman as well as distinguished former refugees such as Khaled Hosseini, Yusra Mardini and Alek Wek. The principle task of this position is to manage GWA content and production, with particular focus on the following:
Procurement of Photographers and Videographers. Content Editing, Production, Management and Storage, Brand, GWA content archiving, GWA Web Pages, provide training on photo and video management, impacting reporting, liaising with GWA focal points, assisting with development of guidelines

Essential minimum qualifications and professional experience required

• University degree in the humanities.
• Minimum 6 months experience of producing terms of reference for posts and contracts for consultants
• Minimum 12 months experience of updating web content/ CMS - essential
• An understanding of working with Goodwill Ambassadors/celebrities and the particular opportunities and challenges around celebrity activity
• 6 months experience of content production, including photo and social video production, editing for social media (premier/creative cloud) and adhering to approvals and branding processes
• 6 months experience of measuring impact and production of impact reports within a communications/marketing context
• Experience of working with/managing photographers and videographers
• Knowledge of the UN system and the humanitarian community
• Experience with handling sensitive and confidential data
• Previous work experience in the humanitarian or development sectors is an asset

Required skills & Competencies

• Excellent English language communication, drafting and presentation skills; a second UN language (French or Spanish)
• Computer skills, familiarity with word-processing, excel, outlook, publisher, webex, mac/apple applications; content sharing platforms, knowledge of google analytics -
• Awareness and ability to work with digital and web editing packages/SMC -
• Familiarity and ability to work with content storage systems, attention to detail
• Ability to work accurately at speed to challenging deadlines, whilst managing multiple tasks
