About the role
This post is vital in raising the profile and understanding of the condition with decision makers following the recent launch of our first major brand campaign – Parkinson’s Is.

The postholder will use creative ways to encourage parliamentarians to act on our behalf to improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s and their carers and families.

What you'll do
The successful candidate will work closely with people affected by Parkinson’s to get their issues in front of decision makers and engage them in our public affairs activities.

You will co-ordinate Parkinson’s UK’s parliamentary activities and events and provide secretariat to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Parkinson’s.

What you'll bring
We are looking for someone with experience of developing successful relationships with decision makers and service users.

You should have significant experience of a parliamentary or lobbying role, with a track record of running effective political events.

You should be a strategic and tactical thinker and be able to execute innovative public affairs activities in a crowded health charity market.

You should have excellent written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and be highly organised.
