About TimeBank

TimeBank is a national volunteering charity. We run volunteering projects which are designed to tackle social issues.

Purpose of the roles

In this role your core responsibilities will be to co-ordinate the delivery of the Talking Together London programme. The main beneficiaries of our work are predominantly women who are isolated because they speak little or no English. Talking Together is a volunteer-led English language programme offering community based English language classes and a follow-up programme of facilitated group work for learners who want to progress their learning. The classes and Talking Groups are delivered by carefully selected, trained and supported volunteers.

As a member of our small, committed team you will help recruit, train and support volunteers and ensure the smooth running of day-to-day activities: primarily planning, scheduling and supporting the delivery of English language classes and Talking Groups and coordinating the work of our partner organisations in London.

What you need to know

The posts are based at our London Office in Kings Cross with regular travel across London. Our classes run in the following boroughs: Brent, Camden, Ealing, Enfield, Greenwich, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.

Occasional evening and weekend work might be required

Some travel within the United Kingdom, especially in London and occasionally to the Midlands, might be required with occasional overnight stays away from home

If you would like an informal discussion about these opportunities, please contact Calley Clay at TimeBank: calley@timebank.org.uk
