Do you understand local government? Are you a political activist with good Labour party connections? Do you hold, or have you held, elected office, perhaps as a councillor? Is politics in your DNA?

Thorncliffe is a very successful agency, established in 1999 with a great track record of results and experience in the local government and property sector.

You will be working with “A” list clients in the property market, plus Local Authorities and Housing Associations. You will be assisting these high-profile clients with their projects to deliver community and political strategies.

You will be a central member of the Thorncliffe team providing high quality servicing to our clients. You may have previous experience in this sector at another agency, or you may have strong political connections. You will also have a good commercial drive.

In this role you will progress your consultancy skills; taking responsibility for the day to day management of client accounts and maintaining positive client relationships, identifying issues which might impact on client activity and actively developing new business ideas and initiatives alongside the senior management team.

You will upwards manage senior colleagues to ensure Thorncliffe meets and beats client expectations at every level.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills, be well organised, highly motivated and able to work under your own initiative.

You will be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate other colleagues.

You will have a proven ability to deliver on commitments, plan workloads, identify issues and find solutions.

You will have your own networks within mainstream party political circles which you will maintain and expand. You will be educated to a degree level, and have good PC skills and a driving licence.

The role is in our London (Vauxhall) office. Thorncliffe is accredited with Investors in People and as such has an extensive externally audited in-house training programme, designed to ensure you succeed in your role.

You will receive regular feedback on your progress and Thorncliffe’s appraisal process can assist you in getting the best out of role to enhance your a progress within the company.
