An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Policy and Public Services team for an individual with solid experience of policy development and excellent communication skills.

In this key role, you will be responsible for NCVO’s policy analysis and development in a range of areas relevant to the voluntary sector and volunteering, with a particular focus on public service commissioning, procurement and funding policy and implementation in open public services.

You are responsible for the communication of NCVO’s policy positions to government and external stakeholders.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent policy analysis and writing skills, including speechwriting, writing briefings and developing policy from research and member engagement.
  • The confidence to engage and build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including those at senior level.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team.
